Understanding (Gemini Sagittarius Axis)

I’m fascinated by the simple human things which are unexplained. But are still real, every day. Like “knowing when someone is watching you.”

When you just get the feeling that someone’s eyes are on you.

Also if you are staring at a stranger from far away, and they spontaneously look around because they can feel it.

Also yawns being contagious.

Also women’s menstrual cycles aligning.

Even… love

It’s a reminder of how much we don’t know. And how much is truly out of our control.

We can’t know it all. We can’t fully understand.

We have to learn to accept that our best is good enough

Growth and expansion come from humility and softness. Not from “I should have known better” and never feeling good enough.

You didn’t know. You did your best.

You still don’t. And you still are.

Growth also requires a solid foundation, and discipline.

But that foundation must be one of safety and humility. And the discipline inspired by joy and independence.

Growth requires opening in every way.

Feelings that are open: humility, joy, compassion, levity/humor, safety, security, trust, self belief, inspiration.

Feelings that are closed: fear, shame, blame, anxiety, worry. Feeling ‘not enough’.

I find it helpful to remember the things that no one yet understands. Like the contagious yawns.

It keeps me open.

What else is happening around us that we have no idea about?

Maybe some really beautiful things.

Maybe I’ve been a bit too busy feeling like I’m ‘not enough’, and I missed them.

Maybe the people I’m angry at, made the same mistake.

Who knew that admitting “I don’t know” could help bring all the joy and all the love and all the safety.

What if we’re here for life to fill us with the unknown? What if that’s the point? What if the answer lies in the unpredictable chaos? What if it’s not actually chaos… what if we just don’t get it?

A musician playing complex piano piece can look like chaos to someone who knows nothing about music. But if they are enjoying playing it, then I’ll likely enjoy listening to it, whether or not I understand it. Why is that?

I don’t know.

But you know what? I’m going to listen anyway

This is the Gemini Sagittarius axis. They are opposites. Their axis is the dance between the known and the unknown, and the experience that the only true foundation for safety, is humility. And the only way towards expansion, is through inspiration.

We must open in order to receive love.

We must open in order to truly live.

These are the times before each solstice.

Before the darkest time, and before the brightest time.

All is well, my beloveds.

The fact that we still catch the yawn contagion, we still look up when we are stared at, and we still love, despite our complete confusion and lack of understanding, shows me that ‘knowing’ goes deeper than the mind. We know with our whole being. Our hearts are still beating, beyond our control.

Perhaps then, life is worth more than we think it is. And so are we

Perhaps “enough” is not real.
